... but shows already roughly the shape of the later series design solution. The front of this prototype looks a bit like the then new 204

Another design proposal for the 504, this time from PEUGEOT's own Paul Bouvot, head of design until 1974. This protoype is clearly influenced by the 404

From behind, Paul Bovot's protoype looks even more like a modernised 404, but the trapezoid headlights (later nicknamed the "eyes of Sophia Loren") and front lines are definitly 504

On the 12th September 1968, the 504 was officially preseted to the public at PEUGEOT's headquaters in Paris, L'avenue de la Grande-Armée.
