The
last step came
with a coat of black, followed by red paint in some
places to eleminate the smallest imperfections. Finally,
my car received several coats of the chosen colour blackfoot-green,
which is darker than british racing green.
The top coat was mixed with clear lacquer to give a deeper
shine. Engine bay and boot-floor were also done in
surface quality. I'm extremely satisfied with the
result...

came back in our garage. You can't see the huge smile
on my face, though. I waited almost 6 months for that
special moment...

I
still couldn't get neither
my eyes nor my hands off the MG. Now with the shiny paint,
the fun part of the restoration begins...

This
is how my MGB GT spent
the time since it's arrival in our workshop. Work on my
other cars prevented me to get on with the MG for quite a time.
What's more, overhauling and uprating engine and suspension will
require a lot of money, so I need to spread the restoration costs
